Secondary Study: Rhombus Tile

For this secondary study, we decided to experiment with a new shape of tile with a successful aspect of our preliminary study. We cut a rhombus and used the horizontal line pattern from our first tile to see how it would change the material’s form.

We were happy with the results and so decided to create four of them, this time with the successful square cut pattern. We attached them to each other to form a larger rhombus. Unfortunately, this one snapped whilst we were stretching it due to the joints not being strong enough.
