Embodied Potentials is a Vertical Studio part of the 2013 Summer Term of Welsh School of Architecture. It is run by Kwanphil Cho and Andrea Bugli.
Kwanphil Cho is an ARB registered architect and researcher based in London. He worked at SAM architekten and hls architekten in Zurich and ASL in Cardiff as a graduate of Welsh school of architecture before moving down to Lodon. He joined a master course (AADRL) at the AA school to expand his interests towards parametric design, prototyping, interaction and systemic thinking and its realisation. Since his completion of master course in 2012, he has been working at Zaha Hadid architects. Kwanphil has also been a visiting critic for WSA and Bath school of architecture.
Andrea graduated in Building Engineering/Architecture from University of Bologna in 2009 with a thesis combining computational design and environmental analysis. He joined ecoLogicStudio in 2010 working on projects for the 12th Venice Biennale of Architecture, the Simrishamn Regional protogarden, the H.O.R.T.U.S. installation and the Meta-folly pavilion. Andrea has been tutor at SmartGeometry 2011 in Copenhagen in the cluster “cyberGardens v4.0” and at the AA Visiting School 2012 in Milan “cyber-Gardening the city”. He currently runs with ecoLogicStudio a series of Algorithmic Design Workshops in London.
